How We Met!
We met through our older sisters Lacey and Ashley, they had a class together at Utah Valley University.  Lacey spent the Christmas Holiday.  Dillon moved down to Utah a couple days after Christmas to live with his sister and attend school.  We had invited Lacey and Dillon to spend New Years with our family so that night Dillon and Lacey came over and that was the first time we met.
Lacey and Dillon would hang out with Ashley quite often and they would come over, we barely spoke to each other until one day when I was studying in our family room and Dillon came in and sat down and tried having a conversation with him.  I was so nervous that he was trying to talk to me that I made trying to carry on a conversation difficult because I gave short answers.  A couple weeks later he called me last minute and asked if I wanted to go on a double date with Lacey and a friend of hers that night and go sledding and have dinner. I unfortunately declined due to it being last minute and I was on my way to work but I took a rain check.  The next weekend we went on our first date to Nickle-cade which is an arcade in Orem and had pizza and played games.  It was sooooo fun and we got along great.
We got along so well and enjoyed each others company that we had to see each other again and start hanging out.  Since that night Dillon called and asked me on a date we can honestly say we haven't gone one single day in the near 3 years we have known each other without speaking, and not a single weekend (unless one of us were out of town) where we didn't hang out and do something :) So far these few years have been the greatest/funnest years of our life.
The Proposal!
So the story is this.....Thursday March 31, 2011 the weather in Logan, Utah was FANTASTIC it was in the mid 60's sunny, warm, and just an overall beautiful day.  Dillon and I usually donate plasma every Thursday and Saturday but because of the great weather while I was at work I text him and suggest we skip donating and go to the canyon and roast smores and hot dogs and chili.  Well he tells me its on and to just meet him there after work, so when I get off I go straight there.
Dillon had set up everything and got the fire started, he also had tiki torches set up as well, he always does cute fun things so I still was clueless.  We ate dinner then Dillon says he has an activity planned and pulls a metal detector out from behind a tree.  We have a list of fun things we want to do and searching for things with a metal detector was one of them so once again it didn't phase me at all that he pulls a metal detector from behind a tree.  So I get all into it and search/dig things up for about half an hour when I got near the lake it started beeping and I started digging.  Come to find out I find a soda can but when I move my shovel it moves some dirt and I see a wooden box so I dig it up to find a cute treasure chest with my name wood burned on the top when I open it I see sand and sea shells with my ring in the middle.
I was in awe and definitely wasn't expecting this to happen but Dillon got down on one knee did his thing and popped the question, in which I without a doubt said yes. We both were shaking and I was so flustered I felt like I had to throw up haha. Dillon then went to the river and pulled out sparkling cider and two wine glasses in which he had etched Bride on one cup and Groom on the other and we drank to our engagement and finished the night roasting marshmallows, and making a yummy banana split dessert where you get a banana and cut it in half long ways, stick a snickers bar in the middle and throw in marshmallows (chocolate marshmallows to be exact) roll it in foil and cook it on the fire for a while.
Dillon did a FANTASTIC job he had put thought and love into his proposal and made the night a memorable one :)
Yay!

Awesome Right? So creative.
