^Country Fair^
Today when Dillon and I got out of class around 7 and were going to start heading back to our car we saw a all this amazon jungle looking decorations and fire in one of the hallways and decided to go check it out and good thing we did! The international students were in the ballroom area at UVU and were putting on a country fair type of thing and they had lots of information about their country as well as food and everyone was dressed up and it looked as if they had a program of dances and other things planned that night. It was such a fun atmosphere and they food was sure yummy, tucanos was even there mmm grilled pineapple :) After walking around and trying all the food and seeing all the displays we saw cages in the middle of the room but no one was around it and of course us being animal lovers ran over just to see what were in the cages and come to find out they were parrots! and yes we just had to touch and hold them, which we were able to do and we LOVED it! They were even talking to us :) loved it.

*HAPPY HALLOWEEN! *
This year for Halloween we went to my parents house to celebrate. It was lots of fun my mom made delicious chilli in pumpkin bread bowls for dinner then she made pumpkin crunch and pumpkin cream cheese bars which made your mouth water. After we ate we had a pumpkin carving contest and we skyped Ashley all the way in Washington so she could be the judge. Here are some pictures :)
We are all very competitive and we take pumpkin carving very seriously lol first place winner went to brandee and Kayla, 2nd place was Dillon and I, 3rd place was Tatiana and Casey, 4th place was Dustin and his polynesia pumpkin and 5th place was my parents. Dillon and I were given Krispy Kreme booklets where we can get a free doughnut everyday (Total of 20)! mmmm! On actual Halloween Dillon and I didn't do anything we both had school and he had to work. However we bought 2 bags of candy hoping we'd get some trick or treaters but we only got one knock on our door. Still it was exciting having our first trick or treaters and hey....that means more candy for us :)

Acupuncture!
Just had to share this quick experience Dillon and I had at the chiropractor the other day.... ever since we began going to the chiropractor our doctor after every sessions does laser acupuncture on us so we asked him if he happened to do needle acupuncture and he did! so last time we were in there he offered to do needle acupuncture on us so we could try it. I must admit I was a little scared to have it done so I had him stick the needles in Dillon first so I can see how it's done then I let him do it to me. You can't feel a thing when he puts it in, some of the needles felt like a little mosquito bite though but nothing too bad. It was a cool experience, now we can say we have had needle acupuncture :)

All About Corn!
All I gotta say is that I am super excited every week for our little date nights! Dillon and I decided that we wanted to make sure we had a date night every week as well as a temple night (which by the way on our second time going to the temple we were made the witness couple! awesome). This week I decided I wanted to plan our date so the day before I made an invite which I left on Dillons pillow for him to come home to which informed him about our date and helped build the ambiance.
There is no better way to wake up in the morning than too my hubby bringing me breakfast in bed. He got up early in the morning, bless his heart, to cook me breakfast even though he's had to get up at 6 every morning this week for work. He made me eggs, turkey bacon, hash browns, and a delicious parfe with orange juice and hot chocolate with hazel nut creamer and because we don't have bed trays he brought it to me on a plastic container lid which made it that much cuter! he's such a cutie lol.
For our date I chose to do an "All About Corn" date so for our dinner I made corn chowder in pumpkin bread bowls then we headed to cornbellys to do their corn maze and all the activities that they had there It was soooo much fun! Not to mention we totally rocked the corn maze :) It was absolutely freezing when we went since we went in the evening we could hardly tell once we began all of our activities because of all the fun we were having. I love going on dates with my hubby he's the best person to do things with. He is so full of energy and up for anything just loaded with adventure and optimism.
