Two weeks ago Dillon's parents came down from California because his father ordained Dillon as an Elder. His parents, sister Lacey and her Husband Diego and their daughter, and Dillons brother Cody all came over for a brunch at my house where our families met for the first time. It was so nice to have them here and for our families to finally meet. Our families mixed comfortably and everyone seemed to have enjoyed themselves. My mom made delicious food as always, she prepared pasta salad, chicken salad croissants as well as cold cuts and also yummy berry cobbler and ice cream. Dillon and I were able to show his family all the plans and things for the wedding and our new apartment. After church we all gathered into a room where Dillon was ordained, it was such a special time I am so glad I was able to be there as well as my parents. The words that were shared and the blessing given by Dave, Dillon's dad, were so sweet and tender the spirit just filled the room like no other. My dad, Cody, and Diego stood in. Seeing all the strong worthy men standing in a circle with their hands on his head testified how strong the priesthood is. Lots of tears were shed and hugs were shared afterwards. What an incredible experience that day was.
