WE'RE MARRIED!!!

Aaaaaah! It finally came! Dillon and I were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple in South Jordan Utah this past Saturday October 15th! as you can imagine we were increeeedibly busy that week, especially the last few days before the wedding.  Ashley came down from Seattle to be here for our wedding on Wednsday, then Grandma Hamamoto and Aunty Karla, her kids, and Andrea came on Thursday, Grandpa Akana and Aunty Dawn and Uncle Laren came Friday then Grandma Minton and Uncle Rylen came Saturday.  On top of that Dillons family was trickling in throughout those days as well and we were running last minute errands and Dillon and I were making our wishing tree.

Nothing but excitement, happiness and love filled our minds and bodies come the big day. I woke up at 6 am to go get my hair and makeup done then headed over to the temple with my parents so we could be there at 9 to prepare for the sealing ceremony, there we met up with Dillon.  As we went through the temple we were engulfed in peace and calmness.  It was a time where Dillon and I could just enjoy each other apart from all the business and celebrating that would and has been taking place outside the temple.  Brother Frandsen was our sealer, he was absolutely fantastic he knew my family because he had lived in Hawaii for 40 years and worked at UH.  I didn't even have to tell him how to pronounce my Hawaiian name he just knew how!  Tears were shed during our sealing because of the spirit felt and more tears and laughter were shed that day as we were surrounded by our family and friends. We came out of the temple to be greeted and congratulated by everyone and by our wonderful photographer Brittany Cascio who we just love! (we cannot wait to see all the pictures she had taken throughout the day!)

When the reception came around and when Dillon and I first walked into the venue and seeing it for the first time all done up, our jaws just dropped....it was GORGEOUS! everything we had imagined! there is absolutely not one thing we would have changed about it from the ceiling drapery, to the picture displays, centerpieces, food, and especially the cake.  I just have to take this time to mention the wedding cake....I am SO happy with  how it turned out! we had chosen a different style of wedding cake it was very simple but looked very classy and the taste was OUTSTANDING! so moist, Dorcas did and amazing job with the cake and all credit goes to her! Maglebys catered our food, we had 3 soups (chicken noodle, italian sausage and cabbage, and Tomato pesto) with their bread sticks.  Then my mom, bless her heart, made pumpkin rolls, pecan tassies, orange apple bundt cake, white chocolate chip craisin cookies, and ginger snap cookies drizzled with white chocolate for the dessert. After the receiving line the program started with me dancing the Hula for my new groom/husband to the song "Ka Lehua U'la" followed by the cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter toss, and father daughter/mother son dance and our first dance which was to the song "Man and Wife" by Michelle Featherstone.  After we had a dance then Dillon and I had our sparkler exit where we saw our car that my sisters decorated very cute.

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day, everything just went so smoothly and as planned, the weather was PERFECT (thank goodness, last week gave us a little scare with all the rain and snow) the temple and reception went perfect and everyone was happy and  just really enjoyed themselves that day. To this day, and I have a feeling that for the rest of our lives, our wedding day will just seem so surreal.  We wish that day would have never ended.  It really was a fairytale.  Lots and Lots of pictures were taken so enjoy some of the pictures we have right now that were taken by Sister Windley at the temple!
